To whom it may concern,
I have known Ross Goodfellow on a professional basis for over three years.
He has recorded four of my musical theatre works to date, most recently,
two workshops at the Isabel Bader Theatre this past summer. In doing these
recordings, I have had the opportunity to spend many hours with Ross,
working with him and watching him work.
Ross is a rare human being, in that he is a consummate artist as well
as an impeccable technician. As we edit recordings together, he hears
things that it would not dawn on me ever to listen for. Ross is a professional
to the core, who settles for nothing less than excellence in all he does.
He is also a genuinely wonderful human being who loves his work, and his
enthusiasm is infectious. I am extremely satisfied with all four recordings,
and have truly enjoyed working with Ross in the process.
I have no hesitation in recommending Ross for any professional audio
project.
Sincerely,
Greg Robic, Playwright and Composer

I am a professional violinist working in the Toronto area for eighteen
years. Among my engagements are principle positions with the Canadian
Opera Company, the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra, the Esprit Ensemble,
and regular engagements with the Toronto Symphony and other ensembles.
I have worked extensively in the recording industry, playing for numerous
commercials, studio albums, television shows, radio broadcasts, and movies,
both Canadian and International. I've also had the great pleasure of working
with Mr. Ross Goodfellow on several projects including CDs produced by
his company Goblin-Cross Records.
I must say that these experiences have been incredibly rewarding for
myself as an artist, because I found Mr. Goodfellow to be highly professional,
musically talented, and firmly dedicated to producing the best possible
result. The expertly recorded sound of my violin on Mr. Goodfellow's recordings
has given me great pride and satisfaction; perhaps more than any other
musical project I have undertaken. I look forward to working with him
again in the future, and happily recommend his expertise to my fellow
musicians.
Sincerely,
Paul Zevenhuizen, Principle Violin

Re: Ross Goodfellow
I'm a writer and editor and recently retired as a faculty member at the
Ontario College of Art & Design. I have known Ross Goodfellow for
just over a year. We met under difficult personal circumstances. My 36
year old daughter, Menya, was dying of metastatic breast cancer. She had
just opted for palliative care at home, a process that continued until
Menya died almost six months later. With the support of Ross, his wife,
Roben, became a mainstay of the care team, spending upwards of 20 hours
a week with my daughter. After she died, Ross volunteered to record the
memorial service we held in Menya's honour in the Music Room at Hart House.
Although the room was overflowing, Ross and his team of assistants did
a wonderful job of recording a diverse two-hour program of music and eulogies.
The recording was turned into CDs, which Menya's loved ones cherish. I'm
not competent to judge Ross's abilities as a sound engineer but I can
certainly testify to his qualities as a human being.
